There are three types of mechanisms to raise the garage door open and closed. There Screw Drive system, a reinforced rubber belt and chain drive systems. Screw Drive system is moving slowly but very strong. This is a good system to open the heavy doors such as steel options. The Reinforced rubber belt system is very quiet and the top of the line. It also is the most expensive. Chain Drive System is the most economical of the three options. It is quite noisy though, that must be considered.
