Located in a huge strip mall with evangelical churches, gay bars, a Korean karaoke parlor, Korean and Thai restaurants, a pool hall, and a transgendered whore house posing as a bar, the Green Door(no relation to the LA restaurant of the same name) really fits in with its neighbors!

The swingers club has a complex cover charge policy, apparently it goes from $20 all the way up to $110, depending on who you are and what night of the week it is. My boyfriend and I ended up paying $25 on a Saturday night.... and no, we didn't go hoping to participate, its just one of those Vegas landmarks you have to say you've been to at least once at some point in your love-hate affair with the city!

Once inside, we entered a "common" area full of single men, ranging in age from their 20s all the way through their 60s. Most were fully clothed, some were naked(apparently there is a correlation between the older you are and the more prone you are to be nude in that place!), most had their cocks in their hands, but all gawked and stared at every woman in the place... which was quite few.

We were told that the upstairs dungeon and the couples only areas are where the real action is. When we said those areas are next to empty, we were told by the hostess that we came on a slow night. A line I'm sure they tell everyone. To be honest, I think the place is a clip joint that makes its money off of the outrageously high cover charges for single men... and plays off of their desire to watch couples having sex or perhaps of joining in. In the end, I'm sure those hopes and dreams are unrequited and a fool and his money are departed.

So what exactly did we see????

In the dungeon area, we saw an elderly man dressed in bondage gear whipping his equally elderly partner, while single men stared and masturbated... some had expressions of guilt or shame on their faces. Except for the couple getting off on the voyeuristic aspect of their tryst, I don't think anyone else was having fun.

In the area with the little booths, we saw a very butch lesbian couple going at it with their sex toys while a group of Russian tourists in their 50s stared at them.

In another booth we saw a middle aged couple looking around impatiently. The man was approaching the single men and was offering them the chance to have sex with the woman for $150. We didn't see any takers.

The couples area was actually the most depressing of the sights that encountered. There were a few men with prostitutes young enough to be their daughters. One of them approached me and offered her half of the money he offered her since he brought her there to pay her to have sex with another woman, so he could watch. I declined the offer.

We then encountered a few couples who were actually swinging. They were in their late 40s, and looked pretty stoned. I guess it would be hard to partake in such activities with each other while sober.... not to sound shallow, although I will, but it seems to me that the couples who go there are pretty unhappy with their partners so they're seeking out some one else. They were pretty aesthetically challenged.

On our way out, we encountered an elderly woman offering oral sex to anyone who would accept, both male and female... and an obese woman "squirting" in the middle of the room.

The reason I'm giving the Green Door one star isn't because I didn't find the people attractive, or because I'm making a moral or ethical judgment here. If its what people want to do fine, its their bodies.

The reason for the one star, is that no one seemed to be having a good time. None of the people partaking in any sexual activities looked sober, in fact they were all pretty high. The single men looked angry, desperate, and somewhat ashamed. The prostitutes were just doing their jobs and moving on. While the staff seemed bored out of their minds.
